The top team in Class A will face their rivals, Dakota Valley, in the most exciting matchup of the season. If the Tanagers can get the victory against the Panthers, it is very possible that they enter the postseason undefeated.

3- Harrisburg 11-2
Harrisburg quickly rose to #3 with a great week, defeating RC Central, O’Gorman and Yankton since the last rankings. They have another game this week against Mitchell that should almost guarantee their spot, but a tough matchup against SFC will surely put the Tigers to the test.

4- Sioux Falls Christian 13-2
Who hasn’t SFC defeated? It seems every good team has a loss to the Chargers, but that doesn’t mean the schedule gets easiers. SFC will face Western Christian (A), Harrisburg, Sioux Valley and Flandreau in the next two weeks.

5- Dakota Valley 13-1
The loss to SFC was a tough game for the Panthers, but Dakota Valley has responded well with wins against Hartington Cedar Catholic (NE), Mobridge-Pollock, and Elk Point-Jefferson. Tomorrow’s game against Vermillion, however, will be the biggest regular season game in Class A.

6- Sioux Valley 14-1
The Cossacks had a tough loss against Dakota Valley, but a big game still remains on the schedule against SFC. Class A will be a tough tournament, and playing a good team in their final game of the regular season should only prepare Sioux Valley for the tough road ahead.

7- Yankton 12-3
The Bucks have had trouble getting a signature win this season, losing to Brandon Valley, Washington, and Harrisburg. They have a win against Roosevelt, however, and a tough game against Mitchell on the 19th. A loss to the Kernels would make it tough to keep the Bucks this high in the rankings.

8- De Smet 13-1
Quietly remaining as the Class B favorite, the Bulldogs have responded well to their loss against Sioux Valley, defeating Viborg-Hurley, Howard, Canistota, Platte-Geddes, and Elkton-Lake Benton. No doubt they are the top team in Class B and could move up the rankings with a win against Mitchell.

The Kernels had a tough loss against Pierre at home, but will have chance to reach their former ranking with a couple big games against Harrisburg and Yankton in the next two weeks.

10- Howard 15-1
Howard probably has the toughest schedule in Class A or B as the season ends. They face DRSM, Platte-Geddes, Canistota, and Viborg-Hurley, but a schedule that tough should prepare you for the state tournament.
