Girls Basketball Daily Recap (2/5): Volmer & Scott Combine For 42 Points in Raiders’ Victory

Class A

Bon Homme 71, Menno 35

The Cavaliers won with a well balanced effort. Jurni Vavruska (16), Kenadee Kozak (12), Taycee Ranek (12) and Olivia Bures (11) each reached double figure points.

For Menno, Kaelie Derby scored 15.

Vermillion 71, Madison 42

The trio of Brooke Jensen, Brooklyn Voss and Jenaya Cleveland each scored 13 points for the home squad as the Tanagers picked up the big victory.

Waubay/Summit 53, Wilmot 32

Eva Benike buried 7 threes and finished with 29 points in the Mustangs’ dominant victory.

Faith Larson also scored 13 points for the victors, while Addison Heinje led the Wolves with 19 points in the loss.


Class B

Centerville 67, Irene-Wakonda 28

Izzie Eide finished with 24 points in the win and teammate Althea Gust scored 21 points as the Tornadoes cruised to the victory.

Colman-Egan 56, Baltic 31

Brynlee Landis led the Hawks in the winning effort with 16 points and Kaylee Voelker hit 4 threes on her way to 14 points.

For Baltic, Baylee Breece pulled down 8 rebounds and scored 11 points.

Lyman 62, Chamberlain 38

Skyler Volmer (22) and Makaylee Scott (20) combined for 42 points as the Raiders cruised to victory. Scott also finished with 8 assists in the contest.

Sully Buttes 51, Stanley County 30

Payge Bakker dropped 18 points in the Chargers’ victory and Stevie Wittler finished with 16.

For Stanley Co, Breckyn Huebner had a 16 point performance.

Viborg-Hurley 56, Alcester-Hudson 44

Jenna Graves finished with 17 points as the Cougars defended their court on Monday. Teammate Tatum Lyons also scored 16 points and Charley Nelson scored 12 points.
