TK’s Daily MLB Blog: Bauer + The New Guys

I’m having to write this from by phone, but here we are Day 3 and I am determined to write everyday. Today, let’s cover my thoughts on Bauer, the new guys in the show, and maybe I’ll say some words on Gary Sanchez.

Ok so first off, this is going to be very informal. I think I want to talk about Trevor Bauer first. Bauer’s performance against Colorado was spectacular until the last inning, and I can’t say if it quiets the haters or only makes them louder. He had a lot of people say that his Cy Young wasn’t as good as others and I disagree, he deserved it whether it was a full season or not. Bauer prepared himself for the season, and he played well.

Now, the game against Colorado doesn’t give us much, but it definitely shows his highs and lows. The Rockies aren’t a good team, so I can’t say if it was a wow-performance or not. I think we just need to be patience and see how this season plays out.

Hirokazu Sawamura, Boston

A former Rookie of the Year in Japan, he joins the Red Sox on a good-deal for Boston, and an e.r.a. that’s very impressive. He threw a scoreless inning in his debut, and he could be one of the better relievers in the AL East when his career is over.

Andrew Vaughn, Chicago

Do you remember the guy from the movies that was a played for Chicago in, I believe Major League, well…this is him, maybe. Vaughn is going to be one of the best hitters in the game and the former 3rd OVERALL PICK is ready to go. Today was his birthday, but yesterday he went 0-1 with a walk and a run.

That’s a couple of the notable guys who made their debuts, I’ll have the full list tomorrow when I don’t have to type on my phone, and maybe we will have 2 articles tomorrow cause I want to talk about Lindor’s contract. Ok, maybe 3, I still need to talk about Sanchez.
