May 13th

Parkston/Ethan/Tripp 19, Bon Homme/Avon 0 (5 in.)

Ty Neugebauer had 3 hits including a grand slam and Max Scott had 2 hits in the victory. For Bon Homme/Avon, Ladon Smith drew 2 walks.

Lincoln 5, O’Gorman 3

Ryne Hammerstrom had 3 hits for Lincoln, while teammate Ty Schafer added 2 hits and an r.b.i.

Nate Sprenkle and Andrew Barr had 2 hits in the loss.

Brandon Valley 5, Harrisburg 4

A “walk”-off by Tyler Schelske earned the victory for the Lynx, as Brandon Valley drew back-to-back walks in the bottom of the 7th to win the game.

Nick Hokenstad also was 2-2 with a walk and Peyton Carroll had 2 walks.

Brandon Valley 7, Harrisburg 1

Logan Kelling was 2-3 with a double and a walk in to help the Lynx earn the doubleheader sweep. Matt Brown also had 2 r.b.i., while Austin Reiter had 2 walks. For Harrisburg, Will Simmons and Lincoln Carlson had 2 walks each.

West Central 4, Baltic 1

Noah Hohn drew 3 walks in the victory and Seth Gabbert struck out 11 in a complete game 3-hitter. Andrew VanDam scored one run with a walk in the loss.

Sturgis 21, Douglas 0 (3 in.)

Ridge Inhofer struck out 7 with 3 walks in the 3-inning no-hitter for Sturgis. Inhofer also had 3 hits with 4 runs and 3 r.b.i. while David Anderson drove in 4 runs on 3 hits with 3 runs scored.

Sturgis 10, Douglas 3

David Anderson struck out 12 in 6 innings on the mound, while also going 2-3 with a triple and a walk for Sturgis. Teammate Thor Sundstrom scored 3 runs and Hunter Janzen scored twice.


May 14th

Brookings 16, Rapid City Central 0 (5 in.)

Aiden Stewart struck out 5 in a complete game 4-hitter. Jake Ammann had 3 r.b.i. and Jackson Krogman scored 3 times.

Brookings 14, Rapid City Central 4 (5 in.)

Henry Hammrich scored 3 times with a triple and Jackson Krogman was 2-2 with 2 runs scored for Brookings. Jake Ammann also had 2 hits, including a double, and both Joey McMacken and Lincoln Hardin were walked twice.

Riley Palmer hit a double among 2 hits in the loss, and Kayden Jones scored twice.

Winner/Colome 2, Hanson/Aurora 1

Evan Farner had 2 hits with a walk while giving up 1 run in 5 innings of relief for Winner/Colome. For Hanson/Aurora, Thomas Stange was 2-3 with a walk and Rylee Deinert had 2 hits in the loss.

Pierre 10, Washington 2

Bennett Dean drove in 5 runs on 3 hits, including a triple and Lincoln Kienholz was 3-3 with 2 walks.

For Washington, Brooks Stein was 1-3 with a walk and a run scored.

Lincoln Kienholz drove in 2 runs on 2 hits, and Jacob Mayer was 1-3 with 2 r.b.i. Teammate Bennett Dean also scored twice, while Washington’s Dylan Rippentrop was 2-3.

Tea Area 8, Flandreau 3

Logan Boom scored twice with 2 hits while Dawson Portner was 2-3 with 2 r.b.i. for Tea Area. For Flandreau, Sam Gassman drew 2 walks.

O’Gorman 9, Huron 2

Sam Stukel struck out 10 while giving up just 1 hit and 3 walks in 5.1 innings for O’Gorman. Also for the Knights, Jacob Schwab had 3 hits, including a double, while teammate Andy Moen drove in 2 runs on 3 hits.

Yankton 5, Mitchell 3

Austin Wagner went 2-2 in the win while Drew Ryken was 1-3 with a walk and an r.b.i. for Yankton.

In the loss, Parker Bollinger was 2-4 with 2 runs scored.

Mitchell 5, Yankton 0

Jonah Schmidt threw the complete game 1-hitter, striking out 6. Schmidt also had 2 hits and teammate Dylan Soulek was 3-4 with 2 r.b.i.

Howard 3, Clark Area 0

Colby Caussen (5 innings) and Riley Genzlinger (2 innings) struck out 12 in a no-hit victory for the Tigers. Jaxon Kampshoff was 3-3 with a triple while also scoring 2 runs.

Hamlin Area 4, Elkton/Lake Benton 3 (9 in.)

Xander Sheehan scored on an error in the bottom of the ninth inning in the Hamlin Area victory.

Sheehan had 2 hits in the win as did Griffin Clubb. In the loss, Ryan Krog was 1-3 with a r.b.i. and a walk.

Castlewood/Deuel 21, Redfield 11

Castlewood/Deuel had 13 hits in the win, lead by Hunter Smith and Carter Hoffman with 3 each. Sam Kooima was also 2-3 with 2 walks and 3 r.b.i., while Garrett Kerkvliet drove in 3 runs on 2 hits.

O’Gorman 11, Huron 4

Reece Arbogast was 3-4 with a double, and Sam Stukel drove in 3 runs on 2 hits in the win. Teegan Schlimgen also had 3 walks for the Knights.

Myles Kott was 3-4 and Grayson Hanson drove in 3 runs on 2 hits, including a double. Aiden Bultje also drove in 2 runs on 2 hits in the win, while Jackson Olsen was 2-2.

For the Tigers, Ben Loos was 2-3 with 2 runs scored while Tyman Long batted in 2 runs. Also in the victory, Kai Yungbluth had 2 walks.

In game 2, Tyman Long hit a home run and Will Simmons went 3-3 with 3 r.b.i. and 4 runs scored. Harrisburg’s Lincoln Carlson also had 4 r.b.i., while Trey Hullihen was 2-2 with a walk.

Elliott Leif threw 6 innings for Pierre, striking out 8 with 2 hits and 2 walks. Andy Gordon drove in 2 runs in the win, while Grant Gaber had 2 walks in the loss.
