BASEBALL RECAP (4/14): Lynx Throw No-Hitter, Ronken Draws Walk-Off Walk For Warriors

Brandon Valley 3, West Fargo 0

The Lynx used 4 pitchers to no-hit the Packers.

Tayden Mitchell got the contest started with 2 strikeouts in 2 innings, before Daniel Buteyn relieved with 4 strikeouts in the next two innings.

The second reliever, Nick Lohr, earned the win with 2 strikeouts in 2 innings of work, and Ryland Carroll struck out the side to earn the save.

At the plate, Jackson Adams hit a go-ahead home run to lead off the bottom of the sixth, while Sam Sejnoha drew 3 walks.

Brandon Valley 12, Fargo South 2 (6 IN)

The Lynx’ pitching continued to dominant in their second game, with Tate Ivers striking out 5 batters in 2 innings to earn the win.

Dawson Mork, Tayton Stroh and Aiden Zerr and Buteyn all had 2 hits in the game for the victors.


Washington 11, Fargo South 10

Bryce Ronken drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh to secure the win for the Warriors.

Tristan Fitzsimmons had a big day at the plate, driving in 3 baserunners on 2 hits and scoring a pair of runs himself. Dylan Rippentrop also finished with a 2-3 day and scored twice in the victory.

Washington 4, Davies 2

Carter Doescher struck out 9 in 4 innings to earn the win for the Warriors.

In the box, Nick Olson scored 2 runs with a double.


Dakota Valley 18, B/A-H 2

Isaac Bruns earned the win on the mound with 4 shutout innings and added on 3 hits of his own at the plate.

Brendan Barnett, Garrett Anderson and Dylan Lukken all had multi-hit days for the Panthers, while teammate Jackson Boonstra blasted a triple for the only extra base hit in the contest.


Harrisburg 10, Shanley 2

Tate Kogel struck out 8 batters to earn the win on the mound, while relievers Brandon Simunek (2 IN) and Coen Cook (1 IN) delivered hitless performances out of the bullpen.

Offensively, Teigan Munce lead the way with 3 RBIs on 2 hits, while Palmer Boyd earned 3 walks. Also for the Tigers, Braxton Kusler scored 2 runs and drove in a pair on 2 hits, including a triple.

Harrisburg 7, Horace 0

The Tigers earned the sweep behind 10 strikeouts from Kusler on the mound.

Munce continued his hot-hitting with 4 RBIs on 3 hits, and teammates Max Carlson and Brandon Simunek had multi-hit games.


O’Gorman 10, Pierre 7

Sully Schlimgen drove in 3 runs and smashed a dinger to lead the way for the Knights in the victory.

Charlie Hueners also had 2 RBIs on 2 hits in the leadoff spot for the winners, and teammate Ashton Bierema drew a trio of walks.

For Pierre, George Stalley reached first safely 3 times in the game while scoring a pair of runs.

O’Gorman 10, Pierre 4

Jackson Bjorkman struck out 10 batters in 6 innings to earn the win.

Zach Dunham and Schlimgen also had 3 hits in the victory for the Knights, as Schlimgen blasted his second home run of the day.


Lennox 5, Dell Rapids 0

Isaac Bambas shutout the defending state champs in a complete game effort, striking out 7 while scattering 6 hits.

At the plate, Talen Eich hit a single and a double, and teammate Braxton Musser drove in 2 runs.

For Dell Rapids, Brayden Pankonen and Will Jaton each went 2-3.


PGDCWL 12, Hot Springs 2 (6 IN)

The Honkers picked up a win over Hot Springs behind 10 strikeouts in 4 innings from starter Aiden Bultje.

At the plate, Jaxon Christensen lead the way for the victors with 3 hits and a trio of RBIs.

PGDCWL also made use of 13 walks, including 3 each from Dawson Hoffman and Joey Foxley.

For Hot Springs, Blake Hanes lead the way in the loss with 3 hits.


MVPCS 4, SFC 2

Tyson Wentland went 6 1/3 innings to earn the win for the Padres, striking out 11 while scattering 4 hits.

At the plate, Isaiah Olson drove in a pair of runs.

For the Chargers, Tim DeSautel drew two walks to go with a hit.


Parkston 8, Centerville 6

The Trojans held off a late 5-run rally from the Tornadoes to earn the win.

Jeff Schnabel connected for 2 hits in the win, and matched Brayden Jervik with a pair of runs.

For Centerville, Ethan Bobzin went 2-2 with a walk, and Aiden Bobzin drove in 2 runs and scored twice.


Tea 16, Garretson 1 (5 IN)

Logan Boom struck out 8 batters in 3 innings of work, giving up just 1 hit in the contest.

Teammate Sam Werdel also had a great day, going 2-3 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored at the plate.

Also for the Titans, Teagan Dedula, Gavin Johnson, Brayden Jensen, and Boom all scored a pair of runs in the win.


Fargo Davies 11, Jefferson 4

Mason Riley drove in 2 runs on 1 hit and 1 walk for Jefferson in the loss.

Shanley 13, Jefferson 9

Cohen Henry drew 4 walks and scored two runs in the contest, while Riley went 3-4 with an RBI. Teammate Keegan Johnston also had a 3-RBI day on 2 hits.
