Hanson Boys Classic

Hamlin 84, Dakota Valley 62

The Chargers won the night game with a dominant fourth quarter and snapped the Panthers 62-game winning streak.

Easton Neuendorf led Hamlin with 24 points and 7 assists and Tyson Stevenson finished with 19 points. Evan Stormo also completed a 13-10 double-double for the victors.

For DV, Jaxson Wingert scored a game-high 33 points.

Viborg-Hurley 55, Castlewood 54

Down by 18 with 54 seconds left in the first half, the Cougars rallied back to take the impressive victory over the top-ranked Warriors.

Brady Schroedemeier (21) and Nick Hanson (20) combined for 41 points in the winning effort.

For Castlewood, Lane Tvedt scored 18 points and Bryon Laue grabbed 12 rebounds to go along with 12 points.

White River 63, St. Mary 49

Nic Marshall led the Tigers to the big win with 23 points. Teammates Jordan Uhlir (19 pts, 9 reb) and Evastine Wright (14 pts) also provided key performances.

In the loss, Maverick LeBrun scored 16 points and Trevon Beckman passed out 5 assists and finished with 14 points.

Sioux Valley 71, RC Christian 65

Alex Squires pulled down 11 rebounds on his way to a 26-point performance for the Cossacks. Max Engebretson complimented with an outside presence, as the guard hit 6 threes and finished with 22 points.

For the Comets, Simon Kieffer scored 24 points to lead the way, and Julius Frog dropped 19 points.

De Smet 57, STM 45

Kadyn Fast (14 pts), Britt Carlson (11 pts) and George Jensen (10 pts) each reach double-figures for the Bulldogs in a tough, defensive contest.

Turner Thompson scored 18 in loss for the Cavs.

Howard 54, Winner 43

Kolt Koepsell completed a 14-10 double-double to lead the Tigers to the win. Teammate Luke Koepsell scored 15 points.

In the loss, Carter Craven finished with 15 points and Shawn Hammerbeck grabbed 9 boards and scored 12 points.

Gregory 55, Ipswich 51

The Gorillas took down the Tigers behind a 21-point, 11-rebound effort from Daniel Mitchell. Also in the win, Cruz Klundt handed out 5 assists and scored 7 points.

For the Tigers, Trevor Heinz also had a 15-13 double-double and Jace Konson scored 27.

Hanson 66, C/WL 64

The Beavers kicked off their classic with a victory. Jayce Slaba made four baskets from behind the arc on his way to 32 points and Sutton Dewald scored 15 for the victors.

Sullivan Felberg led the Cyclones with 6 threes and finished with 24 points.

Canby (MN) 80, O-R/R 48

For O-R/R, Caden Hojer finished with 20 points.

Lac Qui Parle Valley (MN) 66, Lower Brule 52

Brent Hood Jr led Lower Brule with 20 points in the loss.

Luverne (MN) 66, Estelline/Hendricks 42

Braxton Pravecek scored 12 points for the Redhawks.

Minneota (MN) 60, Deubrook Area 58

Jake Jorenby led the Dolphins with 21 points and Colton Trooien had 14 in the loss.


Class AA

Huron 71, Jefferson 55

The Tigers earned a statement win behind 20 points and 9 rebounds from Blake Ellwein. Anderson Porisch also scored 17 points in the contest.

For Jefferson, Mason Payne dropped 13.


Class A

McLaughlin 54, Miller 51

Cassidy Demery and Raymond Yellow Earrings each dropped 18 points to lead the Mustangs to the win.

For Miller, Alex Schumacher (16) and Isaak Hunter (15) combined for 31 points.

MV/P 52, E-LB 47

Dylan Rihanek scored 17 points for the victors and Zach Baker chipped in 16.

For the Elks, Tanner Drietz led with 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Flandreau 60, Parker 34

Luke Sheppard finished with 22 points to lead the Fliers in the dominant victory. Paul Parlsey also nearly completed a double-double with 10 points and 9 rebounds.


Class B

Colman-Egan 69, Garretson 65

Jack Mousel (23), Jase Mousel (23) and Jackson Zwart combined for 67 points in the win for the Hawks. Jack Mousel also had 14 rebounds in the win.

For Garretson, Ian Buettner finished with a game-high 31 points, and Ramsey Schweitzer pulled down 10 rebounds.

Chester 55, Beresford 51

Jaxton Opdahl (16), Layke Wold (15) and Jovi Wolf (14) combined for 45 points in the Flyers’ win.

For the Beresford, Seth James led with 14 points.

L/FA 61, South Border (ND) 47

The Titans took down a northern foe with a balanced effort. Noah Kippley hit 4 free throws in the fourth quarter and led L/FA with 10 points.
