Class B Baseball Recap (5/7): Kleppe Hits Walk-Off For Hot Springs

Hot Springs 12, Lead-Deadwood 11

HOT SPRINGS- Dawson Kleppe finished the offensive contest with a walk-off, RBI single for the Bison. Teammate Blake Hanes drove in four runs on three hits and Kyle Fisher went 2-4 with a triple and a trio of runs driven in.

For Lead-Deadwood, Sam Kooima had three hits in the leadoff spot and Brady Rantapaa had two RBIs on two hits.

Dakota Valley 4, EP-J 1

ELK POINT- The Panthers bounced back from their first loss of the month with the win in Elk Point. Garrett Anderson lead the way with seven punchouts in a complete game on the mound, and Beau Pollema highlighted the offensive attack with three hits.

For the Huskies, Gunnar Skaar went 2-3.

C/K/L 8, Winner/Colome 3

CHAMBERLAIN- Blake Leiferman scattered six hits in seven innings of work as C/K/L took the Region 4 victory. Teammate Sandler Wiekamp drove in a pair of runs in a balanced offensive performance.

In the loss, Quincy Phillips had two hits.
