Alright so this isn’t my usual blog type but I really didn’t know what to write about today, because my main focus has been working on my Top 10 All-Class Girls Rankings. That ranking will be released tomorrow and then I will head back to the old format that I was running earlier.
But ya, anyway I want to talk about a really cool app. It’s called SD Scores. And if you are a South Dakota sports fan, you need to take a look at this app. Not only does it show you the scores of each game, it has a complete schedule, and is up-to-date by about the quarter on game scores.
It also gives you links to all the games that are being played over the internet, and gives you standings along with SoDak 16 rankings. Even cooler? You can switch which teams make the SoDak 16 from each district to create mock matchups.
And by the way, this isn’t a sponsorship. This app is a long time coming for South Dakota. The state has lacked behind on creating a stat database or really anything of that nature. With access to the internet a mainstay in American homes, I see no reason that coaches can’t put stats into a database. It creates better scouting, and let’s fans see and hear about more talent than just in their local area.
The SD Scores app is the first step in getting this database, and they do an excellent job. So if your a SD Sports fan, go check it out!
That’s all I got for today, support your community and look out for the Top 10 All-Class Girls rankings tomorrow.
