After winning the 2023 state championship in Class B, the Titans will return to Sioux Falls on their quest to become back-to-back championships, this timing going for the title in Class A.
Tea Area 15, Sturgis 0 (4 IN)
TEA- The Titans started off the regional with a dominant performance, as Boston Willemssen gave up just one hit and struck out four batters in four innings of work on the mound.
At the plate, Ethan Vis connected for three hits in the win, while Mason Schramm, Carter Turek and Nate Christensen had multi-hit performances. Teammate Teagan Dedula stole three bags and drew three walks in the win.
Tea Area 9, Sturgis 1
TEA- Clayton Schwebach (6 IN) punched out 14 batters in a one-hit performance, and Christensen struck out three batters to finish the contest.
Offensively, Schramm drove in three runs via two walks and a walk. Schwebach also scored three times in the leadoff spot and Cole McKinney went 2-2 with a double and two walks.
