Harrisburg 11, Jefferson 1 (5 IN.)
A 6-run 2nd inning helped set Harrisburg up for the win, before Max Carlson then sealed the victory with a 3-run home run in the 3rd.
Kai Yungbluth drew 3 walks for the Tigers, and Taylor Klein drove in 2 runs. On the mound, Jack Sutton earned the win, throwing 4 innings of 2 hit baseball while striking out 9.
EP-J 8, Canton 2
The Huskies of EP-J got off to a hot start, scoring 2 in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd, and 4 in the 3rd on Thursday night.
Hunter Geary went 1-1 with 2 walks and a pair of runs driven in for the victors, while Ty Trometer matched with a hit, 2 walks and 2 RBIs of his own.
On the mound Ben Swatek was solid for EP-J, striking out 11 while giving up 1 earned run in 5.2 innings of work. For Canton, Hunter Richmond had the only 2 hits.
Sioux Falls Christian 10, Chester/Colman-Egan/Flandreau 0 (5 IN.)
Caden Reitz produced 3 hits at the plate while throwing the last inning in the Chargers’ victory. His fellow pitcher Tate Snyder was also lights out, throwing 4 innings with 4 strikeouts and 4 hits.
Aidan Strandberg had 3 RBIs and 2 hits in the win as well.
Lincoln 8, O’Gorman 3
Chase Houselog drove in 4 runs and cleared the bases with a triple to help lift Lincoln to a win over OG. Teammate Gavin Solomon was dangerous from the leadoff spot, scoring 2 runs on 3 hits.
For OG, a 6th-inning rally nearly sparked a comeback, with Joe Niedringhaus hitting a 2-RBI triple with 2 outs. The second basemen produced 2 hits in the loss.
Roosevelt 8, Washington 3
Marcus Phillips finished with 2 hits including a triple, to lead the Rough Riders past Washington on Thursday. Roosevelt shortstop Dane Mediger also went 2-4 with 2 runs. The Rough Riders are now 10-0 on the season.
For Washington, their lone hit came from Joe Jacobson came in the bottom of the 4th. However, the Warriors drew 13 walks, including 3 from Jack Nesje.
