Canton 10, Menno/Scotland 9
Menno/Scotland nearly completed an incredible comeback . Down 8-1, the Trappers scored 7 in the 6th inning to tie, and another run in the top of the 7th to take the lead. But in the bottom of the seventh, back-to-back errors and a Kadin Huyser-sacrifice-fly gave Canton the walk-off victory on Wednesday night.
Hunter Richmond went 3-5 with 3 runs scored for the C-Hawks. Braxton Mulder, Arthur Benoit and Huyser all had 2 hits each, while left fielder Ryland Meister drove in a trio of runs.
Brayden Sattler and Kory Keppen both had 2 hits and double in the loss.
Madison 11, Howard 1 (6 IN.)
Aspen Dahl earned a complete game victory, striking out 13 batters while giving up 4 hits for Madison. Dahl also had 2 hits in the leadoff spot, while teammate Trey Smith went 3-4 with a trio of runs scored.
Wagner 1, Centerville 0
In a pitcher’s duel, Nolan Dvorak battled for the win, going the distance with 9 strikeouts and just 3 hits. Centerville’s Logan Bobzin also pitcher tremendously, throwing a complete game with 11 strikeouts.
The lone run scored when Matt Link stole home home with 2 outs in the first inning.
Belle Fourche 26, Lead-Deadwood 5 (3 IN.)
The Broncs scored 16 runs in the first, and 11 runs in the second on their way to a dominate victory. Belle Fourche drew 18 walks in the win, but Ryker Audiss still managed to go 3-3 with 4 runs and 3 RBIs. Teammate Gabe Heck also drove in 4 runs on 2 hits and a pair of walks.
Every batter in the Broncs lineup was walked at least once, with Aiden Voyles and JT Hahne earning 3 free bases each. For L-D, Jaxson Burleson had 2 of their 3 hits.
Lennox 16, Tri-Valley 5 (6 IN.)
The Orioles used a 9-run 6th inning to elevate themselves to the victory. Carter VanHouten scored 3 runs and hit 2 doubles for winners, while Conner Eich drove in 3 runs on 3 hits.
Lennox produced 17 hits in the game, including 2 each from Isaac Bambas, Brett Duncan, Braxton Musser and 3 from Steven Christion.
Baltic 4, SFC 2
SFC nearly got the comeback, scoring 2 runs on back-to-back singles with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th, but Baltic got a final strikeout to earn the win.
Riley Dobbins had 2 hits for the victors, and Jose Valadez went 1-3 with a RBI and a run scored. For SFC, Tate Synder had 3 hits, including a double, and shortstop Jacob Docter drew a pair of walks.
Parkston 8, Dell Rapids 4
Parkston picked up the big win on the road, scoring 4 runs in the 5th inning to earn the victory. Will Jodozi lead the way for the Trojans with 3 hits, and teammate Maddox Brissette drove in a run on 2 hits.
Aiden Boechler hit 2 solo home runs for the the Quarriers among 3 hits.
West Central 8, McCook 5
Duece Sherrard performed excentelly from the leadoff spot, going 3-3 with 3 runs scored. Andrew Zimmer and Dalton Mulder had 2 hits each for the Titans as well.
Jackson Remmers went 3-4 with a double in the loss. Teammates Braeden Kerhove and Gavin Gordon also drew 2 walks each for the Buros.
Tea Area 5, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 3
A team-effort victory for the Titans, Ethan Vis was the leading hitter with 2 walks and a hit. Nathan Babb also drove in a run off of 1 hit, while earning the save.
