Trailing 4 runs in the 7th inning, the Rough Riders nearly gained a comeback on Brookings.
Roosevelt was down 5-1 before scoring two quick runs in the 7th on a Cam Jones pinch-hit single and Dane Medinger sacrifice fly. Then with two outs, Ben Irsfeld connected for a single and Dylan Ades tripled to right field to tie the game. Brookings managed to prevent the walk-off by getting a pop-out after a walk, then scored in the 8th on a two-out single. The Rough Riders failed to get a runner on-base in the 8th, and Brookings left with the victory.
Irsfeld ended with a four hit day for Roosevelt, while Ades had two hits. Carter Portner struck out 7 in the loss.
Dell Rapids 13, Baltic 5
Dell Rapids cruised to a 13-5 victory over local foe Baltic. Austin Henry had 3 hits and 3 r.b.i. for Dell Rapids, while Landon Ruesink and Kaeden Eastman also had two hits in the victory. For Baltic, Gunner Schultz had a hit and walked once.
Ruesink threw 3 2/3 innings for the victory, while Andrew VanDamm threw 6 innings in the loss.
Lennox 7, SFC 4
The Orioles finished with 11 hits in their 7-4 victory over the Chargers.
Sioux Falls Christian gained the early 3-run lead, but the Orioles quickly tied it in the third inning on a Carter VanHouten groundout. Lennox then cruised to the victory, scoring 4 more runs in the next 4 innings.
Peyton Eich had 2 hits and 2 runs for the Orioles, while Brett Duncan had a hit and walked twice. In the loss, Isiash Mulder went 2-2 with a run scored. Brandon Otte had the win for Lennox, while Ben Weeldryer had the complete game loss.
Lincoln 11, Brandon 7
The Lincoln Patriots secured a doubleheader sweep against Brandon Valley yesterday.
Oscar Lockwood-Powell had 4 r.b.i. and 2 hits in the victory for the Patriots, Ty Schaefer had 2 hits and 2 r.b.i. For Brandon, Austin Reiter had 4 r.b.i. and scored 2 runs on 1 hit.
Logan Stockberger had the win on the mound for Lincoln, while Cole Frisbie had the loss fro Brandon.

In the second game, Payton Hughes had 3 hits and 3 r.b.i. for Lincoln, while Ryne Hammerstrom had 3 walks and 2 hits. Nick Lounsberry also had 2 hits and 3 r.b.i. in the Patriots’ victory, while Hammerstrom had the win on the mound.
In the loss, Joe Kolbeck scored 2 runs on 2 walks, and Nick Hokenstad had the loss.
