Carter McGregor hit 2 home runs and batted in all 6 runs for Tea Area, including a 3-run home run in the top of the 7th that sealed the victory.
Trevor Welch also struck out 3 while giving up no hits in 2 innings of relief to earn the victory for Tea Area, and teammate. Cam Jensen had 2 hits. For West Central, Noah Hohn had a home run with 3 r.b.i., while Ryan Healy had the only other hit in the loss.
Hanson/Bridgewater/Emery 6, Wagner 4
Kolby Kayser hit an r.b.i. single in the bottom of the 6th that proved to be the key play in the H/B/E victory. Kayser scored twice in the victory, as H/B/E also had 12 hits and Isaih Olson threw the complete game victory.
Jayden Aungie and Joey Cournoyer each went 1-3 with 2 r.b.i. in the loss, and no Wagner batter struck out during the game.
Hanson/Bridgewater/Emery 7, Wagner 0
Evan Bultsma struck out 7 in 3 innings of relief as H/B/E won the second game of the doubleheader. Cain Tobin, Zach Baker, and Madon Hetland all had 2 hits in the victory. For Wagner, Carter Cournoyer went 2-2 and Corbin Carda went 1-1 with a walk.
Canton 10, Sioux Falls Christian 2
Seth Peterson went 3-5 with two runs scored for Canton in the victory, while Caden Reitz and Ben Weeldreyer had 2 hits in the loss.
Vermillion 3, Beresford/Centerville 1
Jake Jensen struck out 7 in 6 innings to give Vermillion the victory on Thursday.
Teammate Jack Kratz went 3-4 with 2 doubles, and Clayton Sorensen drew 2 walks with a hit. For Beresford/Centerville, Alex Winquist went 1-2 with a walk, and Logan Serck gave up just 1 earned run in 4.2 innings.
Madison 12, W/WS/SC 5
Zach Whitlock went 2-3 with a home run as Madison scored 12 runs on 13 hits. Peyton Wolf also went 2-4 with 3 runs scored, and Ty Jorgenson batted in 3 runs on 2 hits. For W/WS/SC, Cooper Hainy and Mason Schelske had 2 hits.
