Vermillion 10, Wagner 3
WAGNER- Ryan Vitt gave up just one earned run in six innings of work for the Tanagers.
At the plate, Tate Hage drove in three runs with two walks and a double.
For Wagner, Ed Ulrich had two RBIs.
Canton 11, Parker 4
CANTON- Matthew Anderson collected two hits and three RBIs in the leadoff spot for the victors. Teammate Arthur Benoit also drove in a pair of runs on two hits.
On the mound for the winners, Braxton Mulder punched out 13 batters in a complete game effort.
F/C/M 8, Centerville 3
FREEMAN- A five-run, fifth-inning rally broke open the game for the F/C/M.
In the win, Evan Scharberg scored three runs and Riley Tschetter went 2-3 with 3 RBIs. Easton Miller also reached first three times via a double and two HBPs.
For Centerville, Aiden Bobzin went 3-4 with two doubles and a pair of runs scored.
Region 2B
Madison/Chester 2, Howard 0
CANOVA- M/C continued their run atop the region with a 12-strikeout, no-hitter from JD Prorok.
Eli Barger had two hits for the winners.
In the loss, Luke Koepsell threw a complete game and struck out four batters.
Groton Area 8, Redfield Area 4
GROTON- The Tigers clinched the region victory with a four-run rally in the sixth frame.
Colby Dunker provided the key play with a bases-loaded triple. Braxton Imrie complimented with three hits in the contest and Bradin Althoff had a double in a two-hit performance.
For Redfield Area, Elijah Morrissette went 3-3 with two doubles and four RBIs.
Region 3B
Dell Rapids 14, SFC 4 (5 IN)
DELL RAPIDS- In a battle between the two squads atop the Region standings, Dell Rapids came out victorious at home.
Jack Henry lead the way in the leadoff spot, going 3-3 with a walk, a double, a triple, three runs and four RBIs. Teammate Treyse Eastman drove in three runs of his own and Tad Tjaden struck out six batters in 4 1/3 innings on the mound.
For the Chargers, Tim DeSautel drew a trio of walks.
Baltic 6, C-E/F 0
FLANDREAU- The Bulldogs picked up a key win behind a balanced team effort.
Braxton Allen and Riley Schultz each had two hits in the win. Schultz (2 IN, 4K) and Allen (2 IN, 4 K) also provided shutdown relief appearances after a good start from Tate Feucht (3 IN, 1 K).
Region 4B
Winner/Colome 7, MVPCS 5
MOUNT VERNON- The Royals took down an out-of-region foe while collecting 12 hits.
Dylan Brandis lead the way with four RBIs on two hits and teammates Zac Olson, Quincy Phillips and Landon Calhoon completed multi-hit performances.
